Any chance you can reupload the Black Vinyl Shoes LP again since the link no longer works and I have just discovered your fantastic blog?!? Thanks in advance!!
Good thing I too only wanted a preview. Why? This rip sucks. Why? Most rips with different bitrates are what is called a "Napster Album" because they were put together from pieces and were not ripped from a single source which almost always makes them crap like this one. But thanks anyway at least I sort of got to hear it and when I do get my 'real' CD it will sound that much better!!!
Yes, your 'real' CD will suck, too--- by definition. (Although the idea of a "real CD" is a koan to sit with for weeks!)
It's a rough spot to be in, for sure, but it has an easy solution. Buy one of those phonograph record machine things! They say it plays the sounds by feeling the 'vibrations' from 'grooves' cut into a shellac plate using a certain sized sewing machine needle(?). I'm not sure about the technical aspects, but I do know they have worked great for over 100 years now.
Why am I telling you this, though? You already seem to have ALL the answers...every single one...except the main one.

DeleteThank you! This has just been reissued, and I want to preview the album before I decide to buy it.

ReplyDeleteThe ''real'' Cd sucks too. Only vinyl kicks. Don't feel deranged... please!
